Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion, where the Church commemorates the passion and death of our Lord Jesus Christ. The liturgy is notable for its soberness and silence, culminating in the veneration of the Holy Cross. At the end of the liturgy, a relic of the True Cross is placed out for the public to adore before heading into the silence of Holy Saturday.
